#NoRiotGearHere — Northland Chapter

SURJ Northland stands firmly against the militarization of our police force through the purchase of riot gear. We recognize that police disproportionately and unjustly target people of color, indigenous people, queer people, and people experiencing homelessness with violence. Equipping our police force with riot gear will only make these people - and all of us - more vulnerable to violence by police.

Our community stands with us. We are collecting stories and testimonies from people across our city. You can submit yours to info@surjnorthland.org.
